Mr. Sweezey was a founding partner of Turnbridge in 2008, and currently serves as Board Chairman of ROC Service Company and Allied Downhole Technologies, LLC. Prior to co-founding Turnbridge, Mr. Sweezey served as the Managing Partner of Centre Southwest Partners, LLC, a middle-market private equity firm focused primarily on energy and energy-related investments, during which time he served on the Boards of Gray Energy Services, LLC and Nexus Gas Partners, LLC.
Prior to the formation of Centre Southwest, Mr. Sweezey was with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette ("DLJ") and its successor firm, Credit Suisse First Boston, from 1984 to 2002. Through 1993, Mr. Sweezey was based in Dallas, where he focused on transactions for companies in the consumer products, construction products, manufacturing and oil and gas sectors. Mr. Sweezey was also involved in DLJ's early principal investing activities through its investments in Seven-Up Company, Dr Pepper/ Seven-Up Companies, and Dr Pepper Bottling Company of Texas ("DPBCT"). From 1989 to 1999, Mr. Sweezey served on the Board of Directors of DPBCT. In 1994, Mr. Sweezey relocated to Houston to head a new DLJ office focused on transactions in the energy sector. As co-head of the DLJ Global Energy Group, Mr. Sweezey focused particularly on the services sector, including offshore and land drilling companies, equipment manufacturers and service providers, and companies in the gas compression and transportation supply businesses. Mr. Sweezey also originated principal investment opportunities for DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, L.P., including a significant investment in W-H Energy Services, where he served on the Board of Directors prior to the initial public offering of the company.
In addition to his service on the Boards of ROC and Allied, Mr. Sweezey currently serves as a Director of Growth Capital Partners and as President of the Board of Trustees of St. Andrew's School in Middletown, Delaware. Mr. Sweezey received his Bachelor of Arts from Duke University, his J.D. from Southern Methodist University and his Master's of Business Administration from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
