Dallas, TX, January 26, 2013 – On January 25th, 2013, ROC Service Company, LLC (“ROC”) acquired and merged operations with L&L Services (“L&L”), a leading oilfield service company based in Woodward, OK.
ROC is one of the largest and longest-standing wellsite preparation, commissioning, and de- commissioning service companies in the oil and natural gas industry. Founded in 1979, L&L is a premier provider of oilfield services in the Mid-Continent region, which extends ROC’s wellsite preparation and related service capabilities into a new region, adding to its numerous operating districts across Texas and Pennsylvania.
“Any two companies can merge, but it is rare to find an opportunity where the combination of two companies can truly create an enterprise stronger than the sum of their individual parts, and we believe that this is one of those situations,” commented Mike Richey, CEO of ROC. “Both companies were founded and have been operated along the same principles; quality workmanship, customer satisfaction and creating a safe, friendly and fair work environment where employees can build a career.”
ROC and L&L will continue to maintain their commitment to high quality service and customer satisfaction. Mr. Richey will serve as the CEO of the combined company, while Larry and Elaine Gartrell will remain in their current management positions at L&L.

Private equity sponsor Turnbridge Capital, LLC, recapitalized ROC in July of 2009, and facilitated the growth capital necessary to merge operations with L&L.

The combination of the two companies will allow both to better take advantage of growth opportunities in the future, whether it be servicing new customers or providing new service offerings to existing customers,” said Robert Horton, Chairman of ROC.
