Mr. Cox joined Turnbridge in 2010 to expand the firm's Houston presence, and is focused on investment opportunities in the energy and infrastructure segments. From 2000 thru 2008, Mr. Cox was a Managing Director in the Natural Resources Investment Banking group of Deutsche Bank, where he served as Co-Head of North American Energy Investment Banking and held global responsibility for coverage of the Oilfield Service Industry. Prior to Deutsche Bank, from 1992 to 2000, Mr. Cox was an investment banker with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette ("DLJ"), in both the New York and Houston offices, where he focused on transactions in the energy sector.
During the 1980’s Mr. Cox began his oilfield career initially as a roughneck in Gillette, Wyoming and later worked for five years with ARCO International Oil & Gas Company in a variety of staff and operations engineering and commercial positions across multiple domestic and international locations including; Jakarta, London, Dubai, Los Angeles, Plano and Houston.
Mr. Cox holds a B.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. As a private investor before joining Turnbridge, Mr. Cox invested in Fiberspar, the leader in the manufacturing and installation of fiber-reinforced spoolable pipe for use in hydrocarbon gathering and transmission, and also co-founded Abrado International, an independent provider of completion assurance services to the global oil and gas industry.
Mr. Cox serves as a Director of Flare Industries, Pro-Stim Services, Abrado International, and observes the Board of Directors of Allied Wireline Services, LLC on behalf of certain limited partners. Mr. Cox previously served as Director and Audit Committee Chairman for Fiberspar. Mr. Cox has served or currently serves in a variety of community service roles including; Houston regional board member of the Positive Coaching Alliance, trustee of St. Francis Episcopal Day School, Director of the Post Oak Little League and on the vestry of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.
